Not about Photography

Inauguration Day

Nothing about photography today. Instead a comment about life. Today I woke up and drove to Birmingham, UK. It was a drive I was not looking forward to, partly due to the drive itself and partly due to what awaited me at my destination.  When I got in the car and headed off it all changed though. The weather was one of those crisp, beautiful golden sunny days and it made me feel uplifted. Then I remembered that today was the day Mr Obama was to take office in the USA. It was strange but I really felt that somehow everything in the world was about to change in a good way. Driving back I listened to the 44th Presidents first speech and I felt connected. I hope that his beliefs and ideals actually take form and that the developed world focuses their resources to help make the changes we all need.
